West Orange, N.J. (September 7, 2006)- In the team's fall season opener, Manhattan was defeated by Saint Peter's, 306-322, at the 6,590-yard, par 71 Rock Spring Country Club.
George Calvi paced the Jasper effort, carding a round of 76 to place in a tie for second.
The Peacocks' Ryan Jasinski took home medalist honors after posting a three-over par round of 74.
Other Manhattan finshers were: Nick Mayo (80, Sixth),
James Marchewka (82, T-Ninth),
Sean Oroho (82, T-Ninth), Nicholas LaBanca (82, T-Ninth),
Anthony Fanuele (84, 12th),
Scott Burton(87, 14th), and
Adam Minbiole (92, 16th).
Manhattan returns to action on Monday, September 11, competing in the Yeshiva University Invitational. The Invitational is slated to begin at 1:00 p.m.
