Toledo, Ohio (September 16, 2006)-Freshman Lindsay Southard was the Lady Jaspers' top finisher for the second consecutive week as Manhattan placed fifth out of eight teams with a score of 99 at the Toledo Invitational at Ottawa Park Golf Course.
Racing in only her second competition at the collegiate level, Southard was fifth overall by completing the 5K course in 18:51. Last week, the freshman led all Manhattan finishers at the Princeton Invitational by completing the 6.1K course in 23:46.00.
Freshman Chanel Williamson was the second Lady Jasper to cross the finish line in 14th place overall with a time of 19:35, while fellow freshman Mary Consiglio rounded out Manhattan's top three at 22nd overall (20:06).
Following Consiglio were three sophomores led by Sarah Rogers. Rogers was 26th overall at 20:11, followed by Ellen Dobbin in 33rd (20:42), and Anna Jankowski in 36th (21:26).
The Lady Jaspers return to the course of September 30 in the Iona Meet of Champions at Van Cortlandt Park.
