Coram, N.Y. (April 4, 2006)- For the first time in the Walter Olsewski era, Manhattan posted a Quad Match win, defeating Farmingdale State, ST. Joseph's College, and Centenary College at the 6607-yard, par 70 Pine Ridge Golf Club. The Jaspers' team score of 340 was three strokes better than Farmingdale.

The last time the team posted this high a finish in a quad match was on September 20, 2002, when the Jaspers tied with FDU atop the leaderboard, well ahead of St. Peter's and St. Joe's.

Scott Burton was Manhattan's top finsher, placing in a tie for second with a round of 80. Other finishers for the Jaspers were Nick Mayo (84 - 4th), Sean Oroho (85 - T5th), Adam Minbiole (91 - 10th), and Chris Vieau (92 - 11th).

Farmingdale's Kyle Havas took home medalist honors with a round of 79.

The Jaspers' total of 340 was three better than Farmingdale (343), with St. Joseph's College (373), and Centenary (377) rounding out the field.

The team gets back in action on Thursday, April 6, competing in the Susquehanna University Invitational in Selinsgrove, Pa. The match is slated to begin at 1:00 p.m.
