West Orange, N.J. - Manhattan took home a fourth place finish at the Saint Peter's Quad Match, held at the par-71, 6,590-yard Rock Spring Golf Club.
Adam Minbiole paced the Jasper effort with a round of 82.
The opening nine holes proved troublesome for the field, as 18 of the 19 competitors fared better on the back nine. This fact was especially true for the Jaspers, as each Manhattan golfer averaged 8.8 strokes better on the back nine as opposed to the front.
Minbiole's round of 82 placed him 14th overall. Other Manhattan finishers were
Sean Oroho (83 - T-15th),
Anthony DeMartino (85 - 17th),
Anthony Fanuele (86 - T-17th), and
Steven Rentz (86 - T-18th).
Saint Peter's took home the team title with a score of 302, edging Lafayette (305). Wagner placed third with a team score of 314.
Chris Merce of Saint Peter's earned medalist honors after posting a one-under-par round of 70.
Manhattan returns to action on Thursday, October 12, when the Jaspers will once more travel to West Orange, N.J. to battle MAAC rival Saint Peter's.
