White Plains, N.Y. (September 23, 2005)- In a format based on the recently contested President's Cup in Manassas, Va., the Jasper golfers defeated the Saint Peter's Peacocks, 4-2, on Friday at Westchester Hill CC in White Plains, N.Y.

Using a match play format, six Manhattan golfers went head-to-head with six Saint Peter's golfers. Match play is determined on a home-by-hole basis with a point awarded to the winner of each hole. If both players tie on a hole, no point is awarded. A match is over when the one player has accumulated a sufficient number of points that exceeds the remaining holes left in the match.
