Riverdale, N.Y. (September 17, 2005)--Lady Jasper seniors Maggie Pfeifer and Megan O'Dorisio led Manhattan with nine kills apiece, but the Lady J's dropped their final match at the Loyola Invitational to Columbia University in three games (20-30, 23-30, 28-30).

After dropping the first two games, the Lady Jaspers did not go away quietly. In third game, the Lady Jaspers received a kill from Pfeifer, who earned All-Tournament honors for her efforts this weekend, making the score 27-25 in favor of Manhattan. Columbia, however, closed the frame on a 5-1 run to seal the victory. Natalie Gerling posted a double-double for Columbia with 12 kills and 12 digs.

Manhattan freshman Sarah Raser saw in action in all three games of the match and recorded 11 digs on the night. O'Dorisio also chipped in 11 digs for the Lady Jaspers.

Manhattan Volleyball returns to the court on Wednesday, September 21, as they make the short drive to Staten Island to take on Wagner College at 8 p.m. The Lady Jaspers will then participate in the Brown Invitational in Providence, Rhode Island on September 23 and 24.
