West Orange, N.J. (September 13, 2005)- Manhattan avenged its season opening dual match loss by besting Saint Peter's, but the Jaspers placed third behind FDU and LaSalle yesterday in a quad match at The Rock Spring Golf Club. Adam Minbiole paced the Jaspers, carding a round of 81 to place in a tie for fifth.
FDU posted a low team score of 328 for the 6590 yard, par-71 course, followed by LaSalle (332), Manhattan (333), and Saint Peter's (352).
The other scorers for Manhattan,
Chris Vieau, Peter Muller, AJ Balsinde, and
Sean Oroho, all posted the same score, putting up a round of 84 to finish in a tie for seventh.
FDU's Constantine Pagonas took home medalist honors after posting a six-over par round of 77.
Manhattan returns to action on Tuesday, September 20, when the Jaspers compete in a quad match with Saint Peter's, Monmouth, and Wagner at The Rock Spring Golf Club in West Orange, N.J.
