Mary Dudek scored the game winning goal with 5:41 left in regulation as the Jaspers beat Niagara in Buffalo, NY 9-8. Junior
Molly Pheterson scored two goals for the Lady Jaspers. Manhattan improves to a 2-5 overall record and a 1-0 MAAC record.
Manhattan outshot Niagara in both halves, totaling 30 shots in the game, while the Purple Eagles recorded 17.
Niagara's Emma-Lee Harrison tallied the first goal of the game 51 seconds into the first half to give the Purple Eagles the early lead. Manhattan answered back registering two goals to take its first lead of the game at 24:35. Sophomore
Lauren Civardi scored the Lady J's first goal and Dudek scored the second goal to take the lead.
The teams traded goals before Niagara's sophomore Liz Johnson scored at the 20:10 mark and freshman Katie Gates registered back-to-back goals at 13:43 and 1:41 to give the Purple Eagles the 5-3 halftime lead.

Jenny Carman scored an unassisted goal 44 seconds into the second half, but Niagara senior Rachel Jones responded back just three minutes later.
The Jaspers tallied two quick strikes less than two minutes apart to tie the game at 6-6 with 17:08 remaining. Niagara registered back-to-back goals at 15:09 and 14:17, but it was the last Niagara would score.
Dudek scored at 7:54 and freshman
Alicia Psillos scored her second of the game and third on the season 1:14 later to tie the game at 8-8. Dudek tallied her third goal and sixth point of the game at 5:41, which stood as the eventual game-winner.

Ashley Devins finished the game with seven saves.
The Lady J's compete again tomorrow Sunday, April 10 when the take on the Canisius Golden Griffs in Buffalo, NY at 12:00 p.m.
