MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY FINISH FIRST AT BOSTON UNIVERSITY INVITATIONAL

Boston, MA - The Men's Cross Country team captured a low score of 16 points giving them a first place finish. The Jaspers had six runners come in the top 10. Junior Tyler Raymond (Scotia, NY) paced the pack placing first finishing the course in a time of 25:38. Finishing :39 seconds behind Raymond was teammate Matt Reilly (Burnt Hills, NY).

Freshman Mike Foley (Bullston Spa, NY) made a great first impression coming in a time of 26:33 taking fourth place right behind junior transfer Todd Raymond (Scotia, NY) who finished in 26:26 placing third. The last two Jaspers to come in the top 10 was sophomore Anthony Vernaci (Bellerose, NY) who finished sixth (26:54) and freshman Joseph McElhoney (Beacon, NY) who finished seventh (26:55).

The women's team finished fourth at today's competition. Their top three runners were sophomore Ginine Lucarello (Mastic Beach, NY) who finished 19th in 20:16, junior Caryn Capalbo (Exeter, NH) placed 23rd finishing in 20:35), and freshman Magdlena Reszewska (Gdansk, Poland) took 24th coming in a time of 20:51.

The Jaspers compete again on Saturday, September 25 at the Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, PA at 11 a.m.
