Michael Sheehan prior to the match. Fairfield improves to 7-6-3, 4-4-1 in MAAC play, while the Jaspers conclude their season with a 3-14-0 record, 1-8-0 in MAAC play.
Jimmy Gaughan took a feed from Vasilis Androutsos just 1:10 into the game to give Fairfield all the scoring it would need.
The Stags doubled their lead at the 39:31 mark when Alex Cunliffe scored from 30 yards out, beating Sheehan to the far post. Fairfield held a 4-0 advantage in shots in the first half, as the team went into the break with the Stags holding the 2-0 lead.
Androutsos increased the Fairfield lead to 3-0 just over two minutes into the second half, as he settled a feed from Cunliffe off a restart and put the ball to the far post. The Stags concluded the scoring at the 67:53 mark, when Rob Miller scored his first goal of the year, with assists going to Julio Garcia and Androutsos.
Andrew Frankel made one save for Fairfield before being relieved by Jon-Paul Francini with 12:32 remaining in the game. Francini did not record a save. Sheehan played all 90 minutes in his last collegiate game, stopping five shots.
The Jaspers conclude their season with a 3-14-0 record, 1-8-0 in MAAC play.
