Loudonville, NY (October 31, 2004)- The Manhattan College men's soccer team was defeated by Siena, 2-0, in MAAC game today. The Jaspers fall to 3-12-0, 1-6-0 in MAAC play.
The Saints scored the first goal of the game 26:09 into the match when Michael Battiste scored off a free kick with the assist going to Carmelo Melilli. Siena added an insurance goal at the 50:42 mark as Sean Kelly put in a rebound. Christi Crescitelli and Joseph Vitale were credited with the assists on the play.
Collin Leaver made seven saves for the Jaspers, while Patrick Henry stopped all four shots he faced for the shutout.
Manhattan returns to action on Friday, November 5, when the Jaspers host local and MAAC rival Iona at 2:30 p.m. at Gaelic Park.
