Brookline, MA (September 27, 2003)-The Lady Jaspers were defeated today by the Huskies, 3-0. As Northeastern improves their record to 5-3 Manhattan drops to 0-8.
Both teams offense had a slow start but Northeastern picked it up by the end of the first half. The Huskies Jess Pfeifer scored the game winning goal on a pass down low from Kristin Kowalik into a wide open net with 5:51 remaining. Northeastern tallied one more before the half when Liz Dyjak beat Manhattan goalkeeper
Jeanne Marie Gilbert (Northport, NY) giving them a 2-0 lead.
The final goal came in the 61st minute when Kowalik sent a hard shot to the top right corner that put the game out of reach.
Manhattan plays again Friday, October 3 when they take on Fairfield at Gaelic Park at 3:30pm.
