DeLand, FL (September 14, 2003)- The Lady Japers lost their fifth straight game, dropping a 1-0 decsion to Stetson University at the Stetson Soccer Complex. Manhattan's overall record is now 0-5-0.
The Lady Jaspers played a strong defensive game until the 41st minute when Stetson's Emma Astrom headed the ball off a cross from teammate Kelly Kuenning. The Hatters outshot Manhattan 14-5.
Goalkeeper
Jeanne Marie Gilbert (Northport, NY) was back in goal for the Lady Jaspers saving six shots. Stetson's goalkeeper April Eilering recorded one save for the day.
The Lady Jaspers will be back in action on Saturday, September 20 when they play Bronx rival Fordham at 1:00p.m. at Gaelic Park.
