VOLLEYBALL FALLS IN THREE MATCHES TO CONNECTICUT

Storrs, CT - (September 13, 2003) - In their second game of the Connecticut Invitational the Lady Jaspers fell to the University of Connecticut with the scores of 30-22, 30-14, and 30-27. With the loss the Lady Jaspers fall to 2-6 on the season.

Senior tri-captain Luka Van Cauteren tallied her fifth triple-double of the season with 18 kills 16 assists and 13 digs, along with a .500 hitting percentage. Freshman Meghan Plunkett added 10 kills with a .409 hitting percantage. Freshman Lori Bambauer chipped in with 18 assists and a .500 hitting percentage.

In the win, the Huskies were led by Julie Erbez who notched 41 assists, 6 kills, 4 digs with a .400 hitting percentage. Jame Hadenfeldt contributed with 13 kills, 13 digs with a .265 hitting average.

The Lady Jaspers will face the University of Akron in the last game of the Connecticut Invitational today at 5 pm.
