Miami, FL-(August 30, 2003) - The Lady Jasper volleyball team suffered a loss in their second game of the Hurricane Invitational to Indiana University. Manhattan lost in three games, 30-27, 30-25, 30-26.
Senior captain Goedele 'Luka' Van Cauteren(Oetingen, Belgium) had a double-double with 18 kills and 23 assists in the loss. Sophomore Marija 'Maggie' Pfeifer (Liberty, MO) chipped in with 8 kills and a .389 hitting average.
Leading the way for Indiana was sophomore Ashley White (St. Charles, IL), who finished with 11 kills. In addition, junior Christina Archibald (Belleville, IL) finished with a match-high in kills, with 17.
Manhattan will face Kent State at 4 p.m. today in their third and final game of the tournament.
