Riverdale, NY - (November 3, 2003) - The Lady Jaspers cruised to a 3-0 victory against Sacred Heart, extending their winning streak to 13. Manhattan's undefeated streak through October has continued through the first two games of November. Freshman Meghan Plunkett paced the Lady Jaspers, with a match high 8 kills, including a .250 hitting percentage.

Manhattan (16-10, 7-0 MAAC) who is currently in first place in the MAAC with a 7-0 record, jumped out to an early 9-3 lead and did not trail in the entire game pulling out the victory, 30-18. In the second game, it was much of the same as Manhattan jumped out to an early lead, 3-1 and managed to go on an 8-2 run later on, eventually taken the second game, 30-21. In game three, Manhattan took the lead at the beginning and never looked back, capturing the third game, 30-19.

Junior Allison O'Neill recorded 4 kills, 3 service aces and 9 digs and Junior Helena Ward totaled 4 kills, 2 service aces and 8 digs. Sophomore Maggie Pfeifer added 7 kills, 3 service aces, and 3 digs, with a .583 hitting percentage, in the win.

The Pioneers (3-24, 2-2 NEC), were led by Charnette Porter who recorded 7 kills and 5 digs with a .312 hitting percentage. Lauren Lamb added 7 kills with a .294 hitting percentage.

The Lady Jaspers return to action on Wednesday, November 5 when they host Big East member Seton Hall at 7 pm. Manhattan will go on the road for games, against Rider on Saturday at 2 pm and Loyola on Sunday at 12, to finish out the week.
