Boston, MA (November 15, 2003)- The men's and women's cross country teams placed 21st and 22nd, respectively at the NCAA Northeast Regional, held at Franklin Park in Boston, MA.
Tyler Raymond (32nd - PR 31:17) and Therese Forsberg (39th - PR 22:24) paced Manhattan.
MAAC foe Iona won the men's title with a team score of 58. Manhattan score of 551 placed 21st of 33 teams, ahead of MAAC rivals Siena, and Niagara. Other finishers for the Jaspers over the 10K course were Matt Reilly (115th - 33:13),
Douglas Becht (121st - 33:22),
Greg Lipari (132nd - 33:31), Josh Conklin (151st - 33:50),
Brendan Smith (154th - 33:56), and Anthony Vernaci (164th - 34:24).
On the women's side, the team race was won by Big East member Providence with 49 points. Manhattan's total of 597 placed 22nd out of 36 teams, and ahead of all MAAC teams competing with the exception of Iona (10th place - 337 points). Other finishers for the women were Marisa Rego (76th - 23:06), Lisa Naucler (142nd - 23:50), Ginine Lucarello (169th - 24:20), Linn Modin (171st - 24:23), Michelle Jones (202nd - 24:59), and Caryn Capalbo (213th - 25:17).
