Riverdale, NY (November 10, 2003) - The Lady Jaspers knock off Luxembourgeoise by 13, taking their only exhibition game of the season, 53-40. Senior Rosalee Mason led the way for the Lady Jaspers with a double-double, tallying 22 points and 10 rebounds
Manhattan trailed for part of the first half until they took the lead at 18-17 and went on a 6-0 run to end the half. Manhattan continued the success in the second half, going on a 14-3 run to begin the second stanza. The Lady Jaspers did not trail at any point in the second half and cruised to the 53-40 victory.
Junior Donnette Reed added 8 points, 4 assists, and 5 steals and senior Nikoletta Deutsch totaled 10 points, 4 assists and 4 steals.
Luxembourgeoise F.L.B.B. was led by Kristina Bernath with 8 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks. Laury Zeyen added 10 points and 2 rebounds in the loss.
Manhattan will tipoff their 2003-04 campaign when they host Central Florida on Saturday, November 22 at 2 pm.
