Poughkeepsie, NY (October 15, 2003) - In three straight games, the Lady Jaspers defeated MAAC foe Marist with the scores of 30-26, 30-23, 30-19. With the win the winning streak extends to six and the Lady Jaspers' record improves to 8-10 overall, 4-0 in the MAAC.
Manhattan was led by senior tri-captain Luka Van Cauteren who recorded a double-double with 11 kills and 20 assists. Sophomore Maggie Pfeifer added 10 kills with a .750 hitting percentage. Sophomore Megan O'Dorisio contributed to the win with 9 kills with a .438 hitting percentage.
The Red Foxes (10-16/2-1 MAAC) were led by Freshman Sally Hanson who recorded a team high .375 hitting percentage including 8 kills. Freshman Stefanie Miksch collected a team leading 9 kills along with five digs.
The Lady Jaspers will be in action again on Friday night at 7:00 pm when they travel to New Brunswick, NJ to face Rutgers.
