Head Coach Lora (Sarich) Egbert is in her fifth season at the helm of the Manhattan Volleyball team, after being hired in February of 2017.

This past season, the Jaspers finished tied for third en route to earning a No. 5 seed for the MAAC Championship.

Egbert arrived in Riverdale after four seasons as the head coach at the University of Northwestern Ohio.

While at Northwestern Ohio, she led the Racers to a 79-62 record, including a 38-33 mark in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. In 2014, Northwestern Ohio won 27 matches and went 18-4 in conference play en route to an appearance in the semifinals of the WHAC Tournament.

Egbert spent the 2012 season as the head coach at Point University in Georgia. She started the Skyhawks’ program, recruiting 16 players to the team and coaching its inaugural campaign.

She began her coaching career at the University of West Georgia in 2007. Egbert guided the Wolves to their first-ever Gulf South Conference championship in her only season as co-head coach before moving on to the University of Georgia as the Director of Operations. After serving as head coach for both the varsity and junior varsity squads at South Panola High School in Mississippi, she spent one season each as an assistant coach at the University of Mississippi and Austin Peay State University.

A 2007 graduate of the University of Toledo with a degree in sports management, Egbert was a four-year letterwinner at libero for the Rockets. Upon graduation, she was Toledo’s all-time leader in digs (1,736), as well as digs per set in a season (4.79 in 2005) and career (3.94).

Egbert and her husband, Liam, reside in the Bronx.
